Dimovski, Mihailo (Resen, 15. Xi 1941 – Skopje, 11. Xi 1979) – Ethnomusicologist, first educated ethnocoreologist. He graduated in the first generation of the Department of Music Folklore at the Music Academy in Belgrade (1967), and then an Ethnocoreologist at the Institute of Folklore in Skopje (1. XI 1968 – 11. Xi 1979). During the one-year stay at the Moscow Conservatory (1969), he specializes by Laban notation of Orana. He was later on study stay in the Fed Romania and in the HSCR. He made a significant contribution to the development of ethnicoology in Macedonia. With Cinema Camera Field recorded a number of Macedonian folk dances and prepared them for publication. It was particularly engaged in the activities for scenic display of folklore, especially the folklore festivals in Macedonia. It remained unfinished his doctoral dissertation “Macedonian folk dances from the Western and southwestern Macedonia” at the Mentor Dr. I. Ivanchan (Zagreb). The author and co-author of three books and thirty articles and other articles.
