Čemerski, Gligor (Kavadarci, 9. 1940) – Painter, especially significant representative of the new figure in the sixties, credited with the affirmation of the Macedonian culture in the world. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bel-City (1965). In the shopping painting creates expressionist works, penetrated with poetry realism and fiction (“Crazy Greta”, 1962/63, “Keeper of Nest”, 1964, “Flight Instinct”, 1968). Later, focused on the autochthonous interpretation of medieval iconography. It is especially important that its monumental mosaic compositions “hot land” (1971) in Stopanska Banka in Skopje and “Monument of Freedom” in Kocani (1981).
