Bodin, Constantine

Bodin, Constantine (? – 1101) – King of Zeta (1081-1101), son and successor to King Michael, leader of the uprising of Georgi Watheh (1072-1073). The rebels proclaimed King under the name Peter. After some success, the decisive battle with the Byzantines, which was played in peacocks of Kosovo, was defeated and captured. With the help of Venetian merchants, he managed to escape from prison and return to Zeta. He used the war on the Normans against Byzantium (1081-1085) and he joined Raska and Bosnia to the secure state. From the Pope, he made a bar bishopric to raise in the rank of Archbishopric (1089).
