The Battle of Gramos (1949) – a decisive battle between the DAG forces and the Greek government army at the time of the civil war in Greece. At 24. ⅷ 1949 The government army attacked the last stronghold of DAG on Mount Gramos. DAG forces were reinforced by 6,000 fighters, which from Vicho retreated to Albania. After severe struggles and suffered great losses on August 29, the units of DAG (OK 18,000 fighters) retreated from Gramos and crossed into Albania.
