The increase in production, the emergence of new flowers and new crops, is observed after 2002. There are hundreds of flowers producers, but on many small areas, and the production of flowers for most is secondary activity. The record for export-import flows with flowers is very imprecise, and exports is unstable (from 25,000 to about $ 300,000). By 1992 Flowers were exporting to the Balkan countries: SR Yugoslavia, Slovenia, Croatia (traditional buyers) and in Greece. Imports registered a steady increase since 1992, but there are also expressed oscillations (of about $ 100,000 in 1993. up to $ 800,000 in 1996).
