Drum

Drum – Membranophone Musical People’s Instrument. In Macedonia it is practiced in two sizes – large and small, which have the same shape and are made of the same material. First, an empty wooden roller (Lub) is made of walnut or chestnood wood. Each of its open sides is the crucified skin of a goat or sheep, which is tightened with two coarse and solid twine. Tunting (whistle) of the drum is performed with specially made wooden devices – Cupuda and rod. The drums within the various instrumental composition are mostly the companions of male folk dances, but also used for other types of ores, musical or orslamic performances.
