Sokolov, Lazarus (Kumanovo, 18. ⅲ 1914 – Skopje, 3rd and 1984) – National Dice, Economist and University Professor. As a student at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, he was one of the leaders of the Macedonian Student Movement, secretary of the cultural and educational company “Vardar” in Zagreb and Manapo activist (1936- 1938), which was arrested and then suspended from work. In the time of the NOVM was a member of the CPY (1941), angina (from autumn 1943), the Agit-Prop of GS of New and Pom (from April 1944) and a member of the Initiative Board for convening the first session of ASNOM. He was elected a member of the Presidium of ASNOM and a member of Awnoj, and then the president of the Provisional People’s Assembly of the DFJ. After the liberation, he received his doctorate in the field of economic sciences, he was assistant to the Minister of Trade and Supply in the Government of the Government, V.D. Director of the Institute for International Politics and Economy and Professor at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade. Due to the determination for the Informbiro, he was excluded from the CPY (June 1949) and soon sent to the Logo of Naked Swotes (1949-1951). A certain period was Director of the Institute of Economics in Skopje. He is a number of scientific papers on the economic history of Macedonia and the changes in the structure of the Yugoslav economy. It is awarded for scientific paper “labor force reserves in certain areas of Macedonia” (Skopje, 1964).
