Crankwed -. Christian Orthodox Holiday Delivery of the Honor Cross (27/14 IX). It is celebrated in memory of the cross on which Jesus was crucified. For more dignified celebration, as well as for compassion with Jesus’ suffering, the Church determined this day to be a strict post and considered a heavy holiday. In some places then, the vineyards are harvested, in other evening opposite the feast of the field, various products (grapes, beans, pumpkins, potatoes, watermelons, etc.) are carried in other evening.
