Zankov, Georgi (Samokov, Bulgaria, 25. 1886 – Sofia, 12. ⅶ 1949) – Dice of the Macedonian Revolutionary Movement. He graduated from the high school in Sofia (1904), entered the MARO and a duke in the Russian Revolutionary District. He participated in the Balkan Wars, he was MP in the Bulgarian National Assembly (1914-1918). After the First World War, Sofia’s Assistant and President of the Ilinden Company, President of the Ilinden Organization (1923-1924). Through the newspaper “Ilinden” and “Pirin” led a stand-alone policy, he came into conflict with VMRO on T. Aleksandrov. After Gornodumah killings (1924), immigrated to Vienna, where he participated in the creation of VMRO (OB) and was elected a member of the Central Center (1925). He participated in the Constantinople Conference (1929) of VMRO (OB) he was excluded from the organization. In 1931 He returned to Bulgaria, where he lived until his death. Lit.: Boris J.
