Vocational education – a system of knowledge, skills and habits in the function of empowering man for performing certain activity. The institutional structure of vocational education in Macedonia represent: secondary vocational schools (c.), Universities and other institutions for higher education (c.) And institutions for adult education (c.). The highest degree of vocational education is a doctorate of science. The sense, content and organization of vocational education during development changed. Vocational education, in institutional sense, dates back to ⅹⅰⅹ c., With the opening of the trade school in Veles (1857). At the time of the Kingdom of the SCS, vocational education is obtained in craft (“ShiGski”) schools, in schools for students in the economy, in secondary vocational schools and teachers. After the liberation, vocational education is experiencing qualitative and quantitative changes. In the first years after the liberation, the most widespread Foreign Education constituted expert schools. Their task was to train expert workers for industry, crafts, agriculture, trade, hospitality, etc. In the academic 1949/50 There were over 80 expert schools. With the school reform of 1958 The previously expert schools receive the status of secondary vocational schools. Enrollment in them is conditioned by previously completed eight years of primary education, which before that was not the case. Major changes in terms of sense, content and organization Vocational education is experiencing the educational reform of 1975, which constitutes a single secondary secondary school, which received general and vocational education, and the previous schools are transformed into school centers for education in more occupations (c).
