Urdov, Gjorgi

Urdov, Gjorgi (Jojo) (Voden, Aegean part of Macedonia, 1914 – Pieria, 21. ⅵ 1947) – a member of the Macedonian and Greek communist movement. He was a member of the CPG, a participant in anti-fascist resistance (1941), the CPG Organizing Secretary for Vodensko (1942) and a member of the CPG Committee for Macedonia and Thrace (1943). He was on managerial duties at the Macedonian national liberation movement (NOD): In 1944. He was a political commissioner of the water battalion, in 1945 he was elected a member of NOF leadership in the Aegean part of Macedonia, and in 1947. For a member of the DAG headquarters for Central and Western (Aegean part of) Macedonia. He died in a fight with the Greek army. Lit.: T.
