Uhumov, Victor

Uhumov, Victor (Belgrade, 9 and 1946) – Physicist, Order. Prof. (1989) on PMF. Graduated (1969) of the Moscow State University. Master ‘s (1971) and PhD (1973) at the University of Manchester with the topic for the statistical mechanics of polyelectric solutions. He proclaimed papers for exactly the resolving test models, universal constants in single-dimensional reflections, physics education and its popularization. He held teaching (mainly from the theoretical physics and applied mathematics) at universities in Skopje, Bitola, Pristina, Genseville (Florida), Si-Bel-Abes and Oran in Algeria. He published a textbook “mathematical physics”. He won the first, that is, the second prize in the Yugoslav competition in mathematics and the international mathematics Olympiad (1964). He was Dean of the Faculty of Physics (1983-1985). He is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Society of Physicists (2006).
