The Catholic Church in the Republic of Macedonia -. The spiritual home of about 17,400 believers, divided into two groups: believers from the Roman rite (about 4,000) and believers from Byzantine rite – uncomed (about 13,400). In ethnic view, Catholics from the Roman rite are: Albanians, Croats, Slovenes, Poles and Hungarians. They have the highest concentration in Skopje, Bitola and Ohrid. Catholics from Byzantine rite $ belonging to the Macedonian community and are concentrated in 9 settlements in Southeast Macedonia.
