The battle of Piden (168 of Pharma) – the last battle in the third Macedonian-Roman war between the Macedonian king Perseus (171-168.) And the Roman Vojakodec Emily Pavel. After a fierce short-term battle (on both sides, 40,000), Macedonian phalanx is cracked (20,000 deaths, 6,000 captured). After the defeat Perseus is sheltered in Amphol, it is later captured on Oh. Samotra. The captured royal family and the Macedonian aristocracy are sent in persecution, and the Macedonian population is displaced. Macedonia, after the desolation of the Roman army, is placed under Rome protectorate and is divided into four parts (Mersidi), with a ban on mutual communication.
