Teacher schools in Macedonia – Type of secondary vocational schools for training teaching staff for primary schools. In Macedonia they appear in the second half of ⅹⅰⅹ c. The first such school was founded in Stip (1869), called the Pedagogical-Theological School, and then in Prilep (1874). Towards the end of ⅹⅰⅹ c., The teaching school was formed in Skopje. As the first troclock pedagogical institution, she worked until the First Balkan War. Among the two world wars, the Teacher School in Skopje was also known. The Teacher School existed in Prilep, she worked only a few years (1923-1929). Immediately after the liberation, teaching schools were established in Skopje, Stip and Bitola, and then in Tetovo (in Albanian, later dislocated in Skopje). Tuition in teaching schools, first lasted two years, then three or four and at the end of five years. The curricula and programs have changed, but have been structured mainly from general education, pedagogical psychological and methodical-practical content. Students have been trained for work in the elementary school class. After-entrance to the Teacher School in Skopje, our attention was paid to the practical preparation, which was realized in a trainee at the institution itself or at some elementary school. As high school institutions for preparing teachers for departmental teaching, they existed until the beginning of the sixties of ⅹⅹ c., Until the establishment of (c.) Pedagogical academies.
