Tashkovski, Vasco (v. Nizhepole, Bitola, 31. ⅷ 1937) & academic painter, academician. He finished the secondary art school in Skopje (1958), and then graduated from the Academy of Applied Art in a white city (1964). For a long time, he worked as a scenographer in Macedonian Television (1965 & 1991), with over 300 realized scenery. He was elected correspondence (21. 1994), and then for regular (20. 1994) Member of MANU. It realized about 750 images in oil technique, 2,500 watercolors, 1,000 drawings, over 10,000 sketches and a number of graphics. He also dealt with a graphic design. He participated in several group exhibitions and arrived 40 independent exhibitions in the country and world: Sibenik (1965), Skopje (1969, 1970, 1973, 1982, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1994, 1994, 1995, 1999, 2002, 2005 , 2007), Bitola (1969, 1983), Strumica (1970), Belgrade (1977), Zagreb (1977, 1989), Cairo (1981), Nis (1987), Zrenjanin (1988), Struga (1988, 2005), Ohrid (1988, 1996), Bitola (1988, 2001), Veles (1988), Paris (1992), Craova (1996), Ankara (1996, 1998), Zurich (1996), New York (2000), Vienna (2001) and Stip (2003). His works are in large numbers. Tashkovski: Aerodrom (1994) Villing collections, galleries, museums and institutions in the country and the world, Macedonia and Europe, USA, Australia and the National Museum of China in Beijing (2005). It is present in examinations and monographs for the history of world art, and five television films were recorded for his work films in the production of radio television Skopje after the scenario and directed by Kole Manev (Navival, 1981), in the realization of Olivera Hristova (in The studio of Vasko Tashkovski, 1983), after the scenario and directed by Ilija Filipovski (the desert grows, the desoles grows, 1988), directed by Koco Nedkov (Tashkovski, 1994) and by scenario and directed by Kole Malinov (Pictures spoken by Man, 1998). He is a leading representative of fantastic painting, environmental and cosmic topics in Macedonian fine arts, with broad affirmation of the Balkans, Europe and the world.
