Taronite, Ashiot (J – Byzantine nobleman, military leader, son of Thessaloniki Dux Gregory Taronite, Zet of Emperor Samuel. He was captured by Samuel (995), married his daughter Miroslava (996/7) and was appointed for Durres. He surrendered to Vasily ⅱ, he received the title of Master, and his wife zost.
