Sokolovska, Victoria

Sokolovska, Victoria (Thenche, Serbia, 14. ⅺ 1931) – archaeologist. Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, Archeology Group (1954). Works at the Archaeological Museum in Skopje (since 1955). He has received his doctorate in the field of ancient archeology in a white city (1984). From 1991 to 1995 he was director of the Museum of Macedonia. He studies the ancient history of the Payonians in the domain of material and spiritual culture; It deals with the study of ancient sculpture and ceramics and raises questions about the location of ancient tribes and cities and lakes. He performs excavations in Stobi, Demir Kapija, Dojran, Tetovo, Zhjanjan-Skopje, and especially systematically explore the ancient city of Marvinci – Gevgelija.
