Slopim – medieval determination in Macedonia. Byzantine Emperor Alexius and Komen here (1106) was preparing to fight the Normans. It is located in the village. Slopers, about 77 km from Thessaloniki, south of Gevgelija, on the right side of the R. Vardar, at the entrance of the river in the Gypsy Gorge. Lit.: T.
