Skalovska-Meinchov, Mary

Scalovska-Merchov, Mary (Karavavukovo, Serbia, 1. ⅲ 1929 – Skopje, 24. and 2005) – Opera Belica, Sopran, Provenka of the Macedonian National Theater Opera. Singing taught privately, and in 1950 is engaged as a soloist in the Opera of Serbian People’s Theater in Novi Sad. In 1952 he receives an engagement in the opera of the MNT, where he remained until 1975. He owned a soft and warm lyrical voice, emotionally rich in his expression. He was a permanent guest of the Belgrade opera, and it was also visited in Romania, Bulgaria and Germany. She accomplished more than 25 roles from the classical and domestic opera repertoire, of which are more important: Desdemona (Othello), Margareta, Geja (Ero from the one world), Tatiana (Evgeny One), Elizabeth (Don Carlos), Irena (King Samuel). He also dealt with pedagogical activity, and a number of shots for radio and TV also realized. F. M. Todor Scalovski
