Pejovski, Elijah (Veles, 7. ⅶ 1947) – Composer and arranger. He studied in Ljubljana and Skopje, and he perfected at Berkeley University of Boston, USA. The creative affinities took it to the jazz area. Long year – Ilija Pejovski worked with the Big Band of MRT. In his work, he created a kind of synthesis between jaws and Macedonian folk motives. He is the author of about 80 works for the Big Band and for the Revas Orchestra, as well as over 300 arrangements for more popular compositions. Wrote music for several movies. He collaborated with top names from the jazz world. He was a visiting professor at the School of Contemporary Music in Thessaloniki, Greece (1988-1991). He is also author of the book “The Harmonian Fundamentals of Jazz”. M. Cole.
