Pao.

Pao (Suggest Liberation Organization) (1942) – Greek anti-Macedonian organization created by a group of Greek officers with approval from the German occupying authorities. The organization was supported by the Greek colonized population in the Aegean part of Macedonia and had points in Voden, Neurs, Ber, Kozani, Kostur, Lerin, Kukush and elsewhere. Pao had its armed forces – National Army (EC) and fought against the Macedonian national liberation (communist) movement and against the Greek communist movement (EAM – ELAS). Lit.: T.
