Panov, Mitko (Skopje, 1963) – studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje. Film Director studied (1983-1988) at the High State School of Film, Television and Tea-Tar in Lodz, Poland. His short film “with raised hands” won several international awards, including the Golden Palm for the best short film in Cannes (1991). He is the author of the films “Berkh” (Grand of the Festival in Ismailia, Egypt, 1995) and “Livada” (special award at the Festival in Clermont Ferrand, France, and the best Balkan film at the Festival in Drama, Greece, 2000). Producer, director and AV-TOR of the feature documentary film “Barnik”, 2000. Teaching film directing at New York University, and since 1998.
