Onexick

Onexik (Onexiki) (Astipalaj or Agina, OK. 365 BCE) – an officer, participant in the campaign of Alexander ⅲ Macedonian and Chronicles. He was a pupil of the Council of Diogen. As one of the commanders of the fleet of Alexander ⅲ, he commanded the royal ship when sailing after Hidasp and Ind. Here the log entries and the correspondence of the ruler were available. Both the beholder and accomplice in the events, dealt with a chronicle activity – with memory, historiographical and literary notes. He wrote a biography of Alexander ⅲ, which contains descriptions of the countries he visited, especially India. Only separate fragments have been preserved. When describing the events, he mixed the real and fantastic, inventing anecdotes that were cheered by the king himself, but was still used in antiquity, especially from Pliny.
