Ohrid Marathon – Swimming sports discipline. For the first time, he was officially held by Gorica to Ohrid (2.5 km, 1954), in which Niko Nestor won, and the second winners were Dicky Bojadzi and Snezana Grupce (1958). Organized by the Swimming Union of Yugoslavia, state championships (1959, 1963 and 1965), who won Dicki Bojadzi. The Republic of Marathon Swimming (1962) was established in Ohrid. Thanks to the affirmation of the Ohrid Maratons and the victories of Dicki Bojadzi of the Marathons of the Sava River and Capri-Naples, and four top international marathon competitions, the so-called “world championships of sweet waters” (1962, 1964, 1965 and 1966 ). The path was from Pestani-Struga – Ohrid (36 km, and in 1966 in four rounds after 9 km). In the competitions, men and women, professionals and amateurs participated in which some of the marathers of Ohrid noticed top results. Total 15 Ohrid Marathons (up to 2002) were held. The best marathons are: Dicky Bojadzi, Niko Nestor, Klime Savin, Risto Bimbilovski, Nasta Joncevski, Tommy Stefanovski and others, and among the marathons: Athens Bojadzi, Resista Kanevcheva, Theodora Raptis and others.
