Milyukov, Pavel Nikolaevich

Milyukov, Pavel Nikolaevich (Moscow, 13 (28). And 1859 – Ex-Le-Bell, France, 31. ⅲ 1943) – Russian historian, Slavist, Macedonia, politician, leader of political party and president of the Russian Duma (Parliament) . He stayed several times in Macedonia, studying her historical and cultural past and commenting in the then Russian press its political destiny. He was a professor at the University of Pavel Milyukov, in Moscow and in Sofia. He knew the Macedonian theme originally, and during 1912-1913 he commented on the pages of the Petrograd newspaper “Word” tragic events with the division of Macedonia, an act that he predicted and endeavored to prevent him. Incoming into the complexity of the Macedonian question, mainly through the dioptics of the then Bulgarian science, it is legally managed to swing over the dirk of the Bulgarian-Serbian dispute for Macedonia, and during the Balkan wars, it is publicly represented for the indivisibility of the Macedonian historical and ethnic organism, counting CSO for an unforgivable crime of aggressive neighbors, announcing the thesis of existence of a Macedonian point of view and political and state autonomy of the Macedonians.
