Mavrodiev, George

Mavrodiev, Gjorgji (village Greenevic, Blagoevgradian, Bulgaria, 1. ⅱ 1928) – Physicist, Order. Prof. (1971) of PMF. He graduated (1950) at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje on the Group Physics. PhD (1960) of the PMF with a theme for the ridiculous properties of the bang flame. He specialized in Ljubljana and Edinburgh. He taught mechanics, thermodynamics and electromagnetism of physics studies, and general physics at other faculties. He published papers for the electrical conductivity of gases and plasma, for the phase diagrams of hard bodies and alloys studied through their dilatation, for thin films and the application of solar energy. He is a co-author of several high school textbooks. He was Dean of PMF (1975-76) and president of DMFM (1963-64).
