Martulkov, Aleksandar

Martulkov, Aleksandar (Alexander) (Possud. Bismarck) (Veles, 23. ⅹ 1878-Docia, 1965) – Macedonian revolutionary and publicist. He was educated in Veles and the pedagogical school in Skopje, where he was excluded as a rebel against the Ottoman rule. He went to Sofia and became a member of the Macedonian Social Democratic Group who spread the socialist ideas between the Macedonian emigration and Macedonia. He participated in the fighting of MoR against foreign propaganda in Macedonia. He was one of the organic-Aleksandar Martulkov Nizards of the Veles Cultural and Education Company “class awareness”. He participated in the suppression of counterrevolution in Constantinople, but also at the general Macedonian conference in Veles (December 1912 with D. Chupovski, P. Popars, R. Reezov, etc.). After the First World War he returned to Bulgaria and was activated in VMRO (OBM) and in the activity of the Macedonian progressive movement. He issued it in. “Macedonian flag” and survived assassination. He acted from the position of the Macedonian nation, which was convicted and imprisoned in concentration camps. After the obligations he returned to Macedonia and was co-operated in ASNOM as a member of the Presidium and in the Assembly of Macedonia. Honored with Order for folk merit and Ilinden monument.
