Kirias, Tiberie

Kirias, Tiberie (village Trnovo, Bitola, 1908 – Ljubljana, 1997) – a scientist in the field of seismology. He graduated from the Faculty of Technical Faculty in a white city (1934). Since May 1963 is an associate professor at the Faculty of Technical Faculty in Skopje, when he was elected for Dean of this faculty. Since 1965 He is director of the Institute of Seismology, earthquake engineering and urban planning at the University of Skopje. He was a member of the Federal Council for Coordination of Scientific Activities, vice president of the Board of the Union of Yugoslav laboratories, chairman of the Urban Planning Council of Skopje. He was chairman of the Isiis Scientific Council. Has published a number of scientific papers from various areas: seismic reinshanding and micro-over; seismic risk; Economic research and planning in seismic areas; preparation and improvement of technical regulation, standards and guidelines for planning, designing and building in seismic areas; Is-pointing effects of the action of strong earthquakes and methods of remediation and renewal.
