Kings Towers (Strumica) – Fortress of the dominant hill over the remains of the ancient and medieval city. Massive hard-walls surround the flat plateau, further strengthened with a wall of easier access north side. On the south side there was a port protected with two towers and gap crossed with a movable bridge. The plateau was raised a massive multi-agricultural tower from you-sweat on medieval Donjon towers with several floors, as well as water tank east of it. Building and Sadova ceramics discovered on the plateau points to the use of space from ⅳ c. Onwards, in ⅹⅴⅰ and ⅹⅴⅰⅰ c., and the lower eastern plateau in the eneolithic. Lit.: J.
