Internal migration in Macedonia -. Movement of the population from one locality (settlement, municipality, region) to another, with the intention of changing the existing place of residence of a variety of reasons. Before and after World War II, internal migration in Macedonia registered intensive territorial mobility of the population influenced by the process of deagramation and due to the development of non-agricultural activities. Purchased movements from village in village, village in the city and from one municipality from one municipality due to the unsuitable conditions for the processing of the country, for living and employment. When moving the population, the movements from village in the city were dominated, rarely from cities in villages. The largest migration village – the city is noticed in the intercepting period 1961-1971, when accordingly, it increases the mechanical inflow in the cities in the Republic of Macedonia. In the period 1971-1981 Moves are calm and decrease, while in the intercepting period 1981-1994. They receive a different appearance, significantly less positive migration balance in cities, and almost equal negative migration in rural settlements, as well as in the previous period. This phenomenon is explained by the great outflow of the village population abroad. Lit.: Aleksandar Kurchiev, the permanent migration of the population in SR Macedonia, Skopje, 1985. Am. J.
