Inquiry commissions in the Republic of Macedonia – Temporary working bodies of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia. They are formed by a decision of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for executing special tasks. The findings of the survey commissions are the basis for initiating a procedure for determining the responsibility of the holders of public functions. As an exception, the Aquerity Commission also appears as a constant working body. Such is the case with the Inquiry Committee for the Protection of the Freedoms and Rights of the Citizens, established in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia at the beginning of the mandate. In the period from 1991 to 1997 The Assembly has established a total of five survey commissions: for examining the circumstances about protest gatherings in Kuklish, Radovis and Skopje (1992); for the events of the Bit Market in Skopje (1993); For the events in REK-Bitola, caused by the strike and the accident (1993); for determining the responsibility for importing tomatoes and cucumbers in the Republic of Macedonia in 1995 and 1996. (1996); For the perception of the possible overdrafts of the powers in the police intervention in Gostivar (1997).
