Human capital – a set of individual’s production and skills. It is acquired through: formal education (primary, secondary and higher), workplace training, experience and health care. The concept of human capital allows investment in human resources to be treated the same as investments in physical capital (buildings, equipment and machines). Investments in education and workplace training are the most important type of investment in human capital, but given the fact that investments in human capital implies any activity that increases labor productivity, it turns out that they also include health care expenditures in its scope. Comprehensive analyzes of value and formation of human capital in the Macedonian economy S “still do not exist. There are no analyzes of the efficiency of investment in human capital, both from the aspect of the individual and from the aspect of the companies and the state. Previous analyzes are partial and treat separate segments of the issues. Thus, according to the World Bank research, the average earnings rate for each additional year of education or workplace training is 7.6% – which is on the ranking typical of highly developed countries.
