Hristic, Stevan (Belgrade, 19. 1885 – Belgrade, 21. ⅷ 1958) – Composer and conductor. Among his musical-scenic works, the ballet “Ohrid’s legend” is allocated (1947, served in 1958). The influence of the Russian “opera-fairy tale” and front of the Russian ballet is obvious in this work, which abounds with elements of the musical folklore idiom, especially the Macedonian. In an atmosphere of striking and bright orchestral colors, mercury rhythmics and inventive melodic, as some kind of lite motives through the ballet, the Macedonian folk songs “Biljana canvas fluttered” and “Pusci me”.
