Gornoduma uprising

Gornoduma Uprising (1902) – caused by armed troops of the Supreme Macedonian-Angle Committee (ok. 500 people), led by Bulgarian officers General Ivan Conchev, Colonel Stefan Nikolov, etc. The uprising began on 23. IX 1902 In the s. Railway, Gornodumais. The clashes spread to the villages of Srbinovo, Buildings, Bistrica, Kluel, etc. Small clashes also existed in Maleshevo, Strumica, Petrichko, Millage and District. About 2,000 villagers took part in the uprising. TMORO has engaged in localizing the uprising. When suppressing the uprising of the army and the bashibosk, 15 villages suffered; Many houses were robbed and burned, the population was fiercely terrorized, about 2,000 people fled to Bulgaria.
