Gavril Svetovo (worldly name: Mijalce Parnadziev) (Stip, 10. ⅲ 1926 – Leskovski Monastery, 12. 1990) – Graduated from the high school in Stip, Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade (1955) and theological faculty in Skopje. He was a professor of art in Stip. Since 1963 He stayed at Saint Athos Athona, where he acquired a large ascetic experience. After returning to Macedonia, he stayed in several monasteries. In December 1975 He was appointed abbot of the Lesnovo Monastery; On August 28, 1989 He was cheated with the bishop of the greater. Known as a rare assocical and ascetic, with an epithet “angel in the body, but also as the author of more poetic and prose works, written on spiritual themes, including:” Steviter “(1975); “Sveta Gora – Heavenly earth” (1978); “Before the bigest jubilee of man” (1980); “Rules and provisions of the Orthodox Church for fasting” (1994); “Father Cherubim” (1997).
