Formening in Macedonia. This sport dates back to 1958, when a free-style martial section is formed in Stip, one of the types of martial sports, whose competitions take place according to the rules of the International Bowling Federation (Fila). The first wrestling competition in Greek-Roman and freestyle was held on the tremger between Skopje, Tetovo and Stip (1960). Due to the long tradition of the pebble in Macedonia, mating in free style prevailed. At the Balkan Championship in Skopje (1961), English counstorkes in free style won 4 silver and 2 bronze medals. The biggest successes of all top domestic and international competitions were achieved later (1975 to 1985). In the senior competition of the Olympic Games, golden, silver and 3 bronze medals were won, at the World Championships – 3 Silver and 1 Bronze, European Championships – 5 Golden, 4 Silver and 7 Bronze, the Mediterranean Games – 8 golden, 11 silver and 7 Bronze medals, as well as many medals in the Balkan and Yugoslav championships.
