Final operations for the liberation of Yugoslavia

Final operations for the liberation of Yugoslavia (20. ⅲ – 15. ⅴ 1945). The final operations lasted from the beginning of the Srem Front, to the capitulation of GAA. At that time, Novj consisted of four armies, VV and VM in a number of 800,000 people. In the fighting within the First Army of Novj participated ⅹⅴ (Macedonian) Corps of Nova from about 25,000 troops and officers (on the orders of 1 ⅰ 1945) and the Macedonian battalion “Jane Sandanski” by Macedonians from Belgrade and the surrounding area within the sixth Fite Division. After the breakthrough of the Srem Front, the Macedonian units released the Slavic Varega, and then also participated in the liberation of Zagreb. Then the 42nd Division was sent to Bosnia in the fight against the Chetniks and the Ustaska forces, and the 48th division continued the fighting towards Celje and Dravovija (Slovenia).
