Endocrine disruption, fish – disruption of physiological processes in the body under the influence of substances in the environment (xenobiotics), which interfer with the functioning of the endocrine system. The most famous are contraceptives, dioxins, furans, phenols, some pesticides (among which the most prominent is DDT), etc. There is a clear record that the exposure of these chemicals in the aquatic environments is associated with developmental anomalies and reproductive disorders in fish and other living world. In 1997, the first research on the effects of endocrine dysruption in fish in Prespa Lake was started. D. R.-Z. Avni Enuzlu
