Eftimova, Katia

Eftimova, Katja (Pazardzik, Bulgaria, 31. ⅴ 1910 – Skopje, 1996) – One of the first Macedonian painmakers, representative of postempressionism and realism. She graduated from the Art Academy in Sofia (1932). Independently presented in Bitola (1945), Gostivar (1954), Tetovo (1954 and 1997) and Skopje (1959, 1965, 1973, 1975, 1985 and 1997). She also participated in several group exhibitions. Her works “Gypsy” (1933), “lilies” (1947) and “Oteshevo” (1957) are separately separated. S. Ml.
