Dimeski, Dimitar (Prilep, 28. IX 1940 – Veles, 7. 2004) – Historian, full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy – Skopje. He finished elementary and secondary education in Prilep. He graduated from the Institute of History at the Faculty of Philosophy (1964). Since 1966 He became an assistant at the Faculty of Philosophy. PhD (1979), was elected assistant, associate professor (1985) and full professor (1990). He studied the history of the Macedonian revolutionary liberation movement from the Ilinden period. He published over 200 bibliographic units. He is the author of 10 monographs. He was head of the Institute of History and the Postgraduate Council. He is also president of several editions of scientific journals and collections. A correspondent member of the DNI in Bitola (1983) and the DNI in Prilep (1984).
