Dimcevski, Gjorgji (Skopje, 18. 1924 – Skopje, 16. ⅰ 2006) – Instrumentalist (violinist), folklorist, melograph, arranger, composer and conductor. He was a participant in NOVM (from 9. IX 1944). After the liberation, he was a reference for the work of the cultural-artistic societies of the Council of Culture at the City Board in Skopje, director of the lower music school (1948/1949), Head of Cook’s Cook “Orce Nikolov” (1949-1954) and the music manager of Ensemble for folk songs and games “Tanec” to retirement (1954-1978). In the meantime, he graduated from the Higher Music School in Skopje (1971). The founder is the famous female singer group “Sirma”, at the Lyra, the famous octet “Macedonia” (1976) and was a longtime associate and musical head of KUD “Goce Delcev” in Skopje. There are noticed (with melegrams) about 200 Macedonian dances and author of many songs and dances in the spirit of Macedonian folklore. As an instrumentalist with collaborators he recorded about 25 Long play plates music. BIB.: You are dan Macedonian.
