Kuzh, Franjo Xaver (Osijek, 20. Xi 1834 – Zagreb, 18. ⅵ 1911) – Folklorist, ethnomusic and composer, researcher of Southern People’s Music. As a collector of folk creativity, he noticed about 4,000 folk songs, about 2,000 and were published, and about 700 were left in manuscript. He performed comparative analyzes of Croatian folk songs with other South Slavic folk songs.
