Brkic, Svetozar

Brkic, Svetozar (Oblovac of Zirma, Croatia, 1916 – Bell-City, 1993) – a prominent Serbian connoisseurance of American literature and its pronounced translator, commentator and affirmator in Serbian language; Critic, essayist and literary historian. He also dealt with Macedonian literature, during his stay in Skopje as a professor of English and American literature at the Faculty of Philology at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius “, for which the most surprisingly speaks his book” Macedonian Themes and Other Essays “(Skopje, 1989). He studied in Belgrade and Bristol. He graduated from the Belgrade University (1939). He taught English and American literature at universities in Novi Sad, in a white city and Skopje.
