Bormiller, Joseph

Borermiller, Joseph (Bombüller, Josef Friederizkich Nikolaus) (1862- 1948) – German botanist, an excellent connoisseur of the flora from the southern parts of the Balkan Peninsula and in Asia Minor. AV-TOR of many papers for the flora of Macedonia, of which is particularly significant “Betrage Zur Flora Mazeduns, and-ⅲ” (1925-1928). It described about 30 species from the territory of Macedonia, new for science. Some of them represent Macedonian endemics or supendemites, such as Centauerea ChamproperoChala, C. Leuzomala C. Rufidula, Fretryeria Macydnica, Headum Macedonitsum, Hepthappatera Macydeonsonica, Moorehingia Minuslora, Peditsuvolari Ferdini, Silene Paenensis, S. Viszszypsy, Solenantchus Szazardzus, Tulipa Szzardica, Verbascum Adenantch, V. Herzogs, V. Pachacher, V. SCARDZolum, Viola Gostivaris, V. Herzogy, etc. VL. M.
