August Gai Julius Caesar Octavian (64 B.E. – 14 G.E.) – Roman Emperor (27rd. Caesar and his successor. With Anthony and Lepid, he founded the second triumvirate (43), and after the Battle of Action (31) he became the only ruler in the Roman state. In 27 The Senate awarded the title of August (“Exalted”). He took all republican powers, and the Senate was Princess (first), the Roman state turned from the Republic into a monarchy.
