Athletics in Macedonia – sports competitions in walking, running, jumps, throws and Visboy. In the form of modern running is mentioned in Skopje (1902). The athletics was represented by some elements in the subject gymnastics and the gymnastics organizations (1908-1941), as well as in the teaching of physical education (1945-2006). In most sports clubs, athletic sections (after 1945) were formed, and with the Fenculation Board of Macedonia, a special report. Then the athletic clubs and athletic alliance (1949) were created, and is now called the Athletics Federation of Macedonia (2002). The first athletic path was built in Skopje (1949), later in other major cities. The first republic championship was organized for seniors in an individual (1950), and then in team competition, as well as competitions for juniors (from 1953) and for junior (since 1955). Interrivatically (from 1949) and international meetings (from 1955) were maintained. Assembly of the athletic judges of Macedonia was established in Skopje (1957). Coaching staff is trained through courses (from 1947), and then at higher education institutions. Members and Yugoslav national team were: Lazo Milosevski, Vera Veljanovska, Elizabeta Bozinovska, Milos Buzevski, Elica Zmejkova, Ljubisa Trabojevik, Janko Jakimovski, Chest Sharevski, etc. Z. R.
