Ascenski, Andrew

Ascension, Andrew (Andreja Andreevich Vanskiy) (Moscow, 5. ⅻ 1933) – Russian poet, free creator. He wrote an experimental poetry that always relied on the tradition of the Russian avant-garde. He explored new opportunities and used sound associations and associative arrays, grotesque and paradoxical metaphora, and also in the construction of its verses relies on architecture and painting. In 1984 He received the Golden Wreath of the SVP.
