“Ascension, St.” – a one-aisled church with a semicircular vault, built on the left bank of River Otinja (Stip). The funds for the construction provided Duke Dimitrie in 1369. It is built of carved stone and mortar. Unknown masters-builders in the construction, especially attention, dedicated to the northern facade, shaped with three deep niches. In the middle niche there is a bean window that illuminates the space inside the church. The walls are frescoes in two layers. The first is from the time of the masonry (1369), and the second of the time of the rebuilding (1601). The unknown painter of the frescoes of ⅹⅳ c. Undoubtedly he was in the order of the talented Ascension “St. Ascension “(” St. Spas “), Stip (1369) Zography, which in addition to seeking the secrets of the painful craft had knowledge of the complex iconography, which testifies the preserved composition of the holy inseparable trinity (in a circular disk Archangel with three Heads, and the sides of the disk representations of the four evangelists). John, the author of the second layer of frescoes (from 1601), left his signature within the inscription on the west wall. His painting is characterized by a solid drawing and a rich color.
