Theophylact Ohridski

Theophylact Ohridski (Evyine on the island of Evbea, ⅺ-ⅹⅰⅰ c.) – Byzantine Church Deper, philosopher, writer and Ohrid Archbishop. He was a disciple of the famous Byzantine philosopher Mikhail Psel. Archbishop of Ohridski was 15 years, but after a collision with Ohridans he was forced to resign and went to Thessaloniki. As a writer, the biggest traces left as an exeget, interpreting the oldest books, the psalms and the prophetic books, as well as the whole new covenant (without the apocalypse). He wrote oratoric, hagiographic and hydroographic works for local Macedonian saints, polemic antilathic works, epistolar compositions with data for Macedonia and the Ohrid Archbishopric.
